Obituary

Lillian E. Thomas Age 98, of Canton, passed away Wed. morning in Altercare of Nobles Pond. She was born in Accident, MD, a daughter of the late Ira and Florence (Niner) Glodfelty, and had been a Canton resident since 1994, previously residing in Waynesburg. Lillian was a retired employee of Akro Mills in Akron where she worked for many years. She was a member of Anchor Baptist Church. Preceded in death by her husband, Alvie Thomas, on Sept. 27, 1979, three sons, Sherman and Robert House, and William "Hagan" Thomas, a daughter, Eleanor George, and a daughter-in-law, Liz Thomas. She is Survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Darlene and Lewis Moore, of Canal Fulton, and Linda Thomas, of Canton; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Alvy and Pat Thomas, and Michael Thomas, all of Waynesburg; 32 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in the Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home with Rev. Danny L. Grine officiating. Interment in Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Louisville.
