LESTER JUNIOR GEORGE, Age 82, of Louisville, passed away Sat. evening in Altercare of Louisville. Born in Canton, a son of the late Lester and Velma Wagner George, he had been a resident of Canton most of his life. Lester was a 1947 graduate of Lincoln High School and retired in 1985 from the Canton Police Department after 30 years service as a Lieutenant. Preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy George, on Dec. 1, 2011. Survived by his children, Keith George and Barbara Drennan-George, of Canton and Windsor, ME, Leslie Geis, of Canton, Mark and Michelle George, of North Canton, and Terry George and Laura Young, of North Canton; one sister and brother-in-law, Janice and William Pelger, of Massillon; three brothers and one sister-in-law, Kenneth George, of Canton, Jay George, of FL, and Willard and Norma George, of Louisville; and twelve grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. A private service for the family will be held at Altercare of Louisville with his grandson, Rev. Ben George officiating. There will be no calling hours.
