Leona M. Wilfong

Age 95, of Waynesburg, passed away wed., July 26, 2023.  She was born Feb. 1, 1928 in Magnolia, a daughter of the late Matt and Mary (Scarpino) Goduto, and was a life resident of this area. Leona was a 1946 graduate of Waynesburg High School. She had worked at the Sparta Ceramic, Weber Dental, The Timken Co., and as a cook at Cibo's. Leona was a member of St. James Catholic Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Wilfong, on August 26, 2005, and a brother, Robert Goduto. Leona is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Cinderella and Frederick Pisani, and her son and daughter-in-law, James and Ashley Foster; five grandchildren and one great-granddaughter, Celeste and Daniel Crawford, Kaleigh Pisani and her daughter, Reagan, Natalie Foster, James Foster, and Isaiah Foster; one brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Janet Goduto.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wed. at 11 a.m. in St.James Catholic Church with Fr. Matthew Humerickhouse as Celebrant.  Friends may call Wed. 10-11 a.m. at the church before the Mass.  Interment will be in Sandy Valley Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com
