LAURA A. ALBRECHT,
Age 53, of Carrollton, passed away Sun. afternoon in her residence. Born in Massillon, a daughter of Shirley and Bob Jordan, of Canton and Terry Kirven, of TX, she had been a Carrollton resident for 20 years. Laura was a 1978 graduate of Jackson High School and a 1985 graduate of Kent State University with a Master's Degree in Speech Pathology. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Waynesburg and had worked For Carrollton Exempted Village where she was a Speech Therapist. Survived by her husband, Terry Albrecht, with whom she celebrated their 20th Wedding Anniversary on Sept. 4th; two stepdaughters and their husbands, Lisa and James Campbell, of Massillon, and Tammy and Mike Chapman, of Canton; one stepson and his wife, Shawn and Marcy Albrecht, of Carrollton; three brothers and one sister-in-law, Steve Kirven and Jim Kirven, both of Canton, and Dave and Kathy Kirven, of North Canton; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and three nieces and two nephews. Family and friends will meet at St. James Catholic Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. with Fr. Joseph Zamary as Celebrant. Interment in Baxter's Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday 6-8 p.m. at the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Laura's memory to Community Hospice, 716 Commercial Ave. SW, New Philadelphia, OH 44663. Condolences may be left at www.gordonfuneralhomes.com.
