Larry G. Thomas

Age 37, of Massillon, passed away Sunday, Nov. 6, 2016, from injuries sustained in an accident in the Brewster Railroad Yard.  He was born June 1, 1979 in Canton, a son of Darlene (Ohler) Thomas of Magnolia, and the late Ronald Thomas, raised in Carrollton, and had been a Canton area resident all his adult life.  Larry was a 1997 graduate of Carrollton High School.  Larry was a Locomotive Engineer for the Wheeling & Lake Erie Railway.  He was a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers & Trainmen, Local Division #292 and was an avid car and motorcycle enthusiast.  Larry served in the U. S. Army.  Surviving besides his mother is his wife, Stephanie A. (Ferry) Thomas, with whom he celebrated their seventh Wedding Anniversary on August 22nd, two sons and a daughter, Tyler, William and Alexis.  Also one sister, Tabatha Thomas, and her children, Autumn Stacy and Rozzalynn Thomas, of Magnolia, and Stephanie's parents, Bill and Christine Ferry, of Canton.  Services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in the Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home with Pastor Floyd Stanfill officiating.  Interment will be in Warstler Cemetery.  Friends may call Thursday 1-3 & 6-8 p.m.  Condolences may be sent to: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com
