Larry L. Gardner Age 73, of North Canton, passed away suddenly Wed. evening at his home. He was born in Massillon, a son of the late Clarence and Leora Harrold Gardner, was raised in Dalton, and had been a North Canton resident since 1967. Larry was a 1955 graduate of Dalton High School. He retired Dec. 31, 1995 from The Timken Co., after 36 years and nine months service, where he was a Cost Accountant. He also worked at Fishers Foods for almost 30 years, retiring in 1998. Larry was a member of the North Canton Eagles. He was an avid golfer with his buddies at Sable Creek Golf Club three times a week, and had a hole-in-one on the 124 yard #5 hole on the Black Course recently. Larry was a Mr. Fixit, and helped his family and friends with anything they needed. When he and Sally were younger, he enjoyed taking his family boating and camping, and going to Myrtle Beach. Larry served his country in the U.S. Navy. Survived by his wife, Sally L. Gardner, with whom he celebrated their 48th Wedding Anniversary on July 14th; his daughter and son-in-law, Lorrie and Erik Ardelean, and their daughter, Madison, of Canton; two sons, Randy Gardner and his children, Kayla and Kasey, of Canton, and Rob Gardner, of Hartville; one sister and brother-in-law, Dora Lee and Maurice Huntsberger, of Dalton; a sister-in-law, June Brogden, of Canton; four nieces and two nephews. A PRIVATE FAMILY SERVICE will be held on Monday at 10:30 a.m. in the Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home with Rev. Jeffrey L. Shultz officiating. Interment in Sunset Hills Burial Park.
