KIMBERLY J. MARKEY,

Age 56, of Waynesburg, passed away Apr. 1, 2014 in Aultman Compassionate Care.  Born in Canton, a daughter of the late Clayton "Red" and Vivien (Gortney) Purdy, she had been a life resident of the Sandy Valley area.  Kimberly was a 1976 graduate of Sandy Valley High School, and had driven school bus for Sandy Valley Local Schools for 21 years.  She served on the Sandy Twp. Fire Department since June 21, 1989 and presently was a Captain, and was a member of Stark Co. and Carroll Co. Firefighters Associations.  Survived by her husband, Daniel Barnes; one daughter and son-in-law, Devon and Robert Wartman, of Magnolia; one son, Justin Markey, of Waynesburg; and three grandchildren, Austin and Makenna Wartman, and Carolyn Markey.  Stark County Firefighters Association Services will be held Sun. at 4 p.m. in the Sandy Twp. Fire Station, 8285 Waynesburg Dr. SE, Waynesburg, OH, 44688.  Friends may call Sun. from 2-4 p.m. in the Fire Station.  The Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia is in charge of arrangements.  Condolences may be left at: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com.
