Kenneth L. Wood

Age 82, of Waynesburg, passed away Tuesday, April 18, 2017.  He was born March 27, 1935, in Sherrodsville, a son of the late Orrville and Ella (Morrow) Wood, and had been a Waynesburg resident most of his life.  He was a 1953 graduate of Carrollton High School.  Kenny retired from Aultman Hospital, after 30 years service, where he worked in the maintenance department, and previously worked 15 years at Babcock & Wilcox.  He was a member of the Fellowship of The Little Country Church, and he and his wife volunteered for Heritage Days in Waynesburg and Canal Days in Magnolia.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Shirley A. Wood, on May 27, 2016, and a brother, Robert Wood.  He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Paul Brown, his son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Lynda Wood, two grandchildren, Scott (Kelly) Wood, and Monica Motz, three great-grandchildren, Dakota and Selena Wood, and Jocelyn Motz;  also one sister, Nora (Marion) Klotz, and several nieces and nephews.  Services will be held Sat. at 12 Noon in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia with Rev. Cameron Ury officiating.  Interment will be in Sandy Valley Cemetery.  Friends may call Sat. 10-12 Noon before the service.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in Kenny's memory may be made to the Little Country Church, 7886 Ravenna Ave. SE, Waynesburg, OH 44688.  The family wishes to express their appreciation to Aultman Hospice, Crossroads Hospice, and the staff of the Canton Regency for the love and care they gave to Kenny.  Condolences may be sent to: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com
