Kenneth G. Barkheimer,

Passed away May 20th, 2024 following a long illness.  A 1966 graduate of Sandy Valley High School, he proudly served his country in the United States Army, E5, serving one year, February 1967 to February 1968 with the Big Red One (1st Infantry, 2/28) in Lai Khe, South Vietnam.  A supervisor for AEP (Ohio Power Co.) retiring in March 2003 with 35 years of service.  Son of the late Kenneth and Martha Barkheimer.  Survived by wife Jane, daughter Leisa and her husband Donald, granddaughter Emilee and her husband Andrew, granddaughter Leah, great granddaughters Hannah and Haylee, beloved cats Peanut II and Spot III, sister Pat and her husband Gary, and nieces and nephews.  Services will be held Fri., May 24 at 12 noon in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home.  Interment in Magnolia Cemetery with Military Honors.  Friends may call one hour before the service, from 11am -12 noon in the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in Kenneths memory may be made to: One of a Kind Pet, 1699 W.
