Kay E. Martin
Age 77, of Canton, passed away Wed. morning in Aultman Hospital. She was born in Magnolia, a daughter of the late Harry and Maxine Weis Brewer, Jr., and had been a Canton resident most of her life. Kay was a 1951 graduate of Lincoln High School. She was a former long-time employee of Canton Auto Club. Kay was a member of Bethel Temple where she sang in the choir and taught a Sunday school class. Preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Peter Martin, Jr., on Feb. 25, 2010, and a brother, Bruce Brewer. Survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Brad Williams, of Canton; two sons and daughters-in-law, Bruce and Cinde Martin, of Canton, and Scott and Heidi Martin, of New Jersey; six grandchildren, Beau, Brock, and Britt Williams, Ty, Cory, and Harlow Martin; two step-grandchildren, Isaiah and Alexandra, and one great-granddaughter, Kaleigh. Services will be conducted Monday at 1:30 p.m. in Bethel Temple with Pastor Terry Kirschman and Pastor Robert Graber officiating. Interment in Magnolia Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday 2-4 p.m. at the Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home and Monday 12:30-1:30 p.m. at the church before the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Kay's memory may be made to the funeral home to help defray expenses.
