Kathy S. Geckler

Age 67, of Canton, passed away Wed., Sept. 28, 2016.  She was born in Cincinnati, OH, and had resided in the East Sparta and Canton area all her life.  Kathy was a 1967 graduate of Sandy Valley High School.  She was preceded in death by her mother, Elaine (Bell) Brackett, and is survived by her husband, Walter J. Geckler, with whom she celebrated their 48th Wedding Anniversary on August 24th; two daughters and a son-in-law, Paula and Gary Walker and Sharon Geckler, all of Canton; one son, James Geckler, PhD and Joseph Sorah, of State College, PA; four grandchildren, Kayla and Cole Geckler, and Tyler and Alyssa Walker; two sisters and a brother, Connie Bigony, Nancy (Bob) Meyer, and Terry Doane, all of Cincinnati.  Friends may call Sunday 3-5 p.m. at the FORMET-CLEVENGER & GORDON FUNERAL HOME IN Canton.  Services will be held Monday at 1 p.m. in the FINEFROCK-GORDON FUNERAL HOME IN MAGNOLIA with Hospice Chaplain Charlie Cooper officiating.  Friends also may call Monday 12-1 p.m. at FINEFROCK-GORDON FUNERAL HOME before the service.  Interment will be in Magnolia Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in Kathy's memory may be made to Great Lakes Caring, 1530 W.
