Obituary

Kathryn L. Robson Age 96, of Canton, passed away Sat. afternoon, Sept. 10, 2011, in Stone Crossing, and will be missed and loved always. She was born in Canton on August 21, 1915, a daughter of the late Earl and Cleda Herron Franz, Sr., and was a life resident. Kathryn was a 1933 graduate of McKinley High School. She started to work at Sterling Bakery in 1944 where she was manager of the roll dept., working there 17 years until it closed. In 1964 she went to work at Embro Mfg. Co., where she met her very good friend, Betty Schen, and retired in 1981, and continued to be a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. On May 5, 1936 she married Edwin L. Robson, and after 60 years of marriage he passed away on Sept. 30, 1996. She also was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Robson, on March 6, 2001, and four sisters, Maxine Catalano, Rosalie Little, Mary Jane Babtist, and Marilyn Lanzer. Survived by her daughter, Adrianne Mercer, of Canton; her brother and sister-in-law, Earl and Joann Franz, Jr, of North Canton; a daughter-in-law, Donna Robson, of North Canton; three grandchildren, Edward Fox, Debbie (Dale) Russell, and Sonja (Jeff) Graham; two great-grandchildren, Justin Russell and Matthew (Rachel) Russell; seven great-great-grandchildren, Cody, Jessie, Ana Marie, Destini, Jasmine, Christopher, and Caden. Services will be held Wed. at 11 a.m. in the Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home with Jeffrey Bullock and her nephew Joseph Franz officiating. Interment in Sunset Hills Burial Park.
