Kathryn L. Ott,

Age 79, of Amsterdam, passed away Sun., Dec. 1, 2024.  She was born Jan. 10, 1945, in Canton, a daughter of the late Merle and Barbara (Ridgeway) Slagle.  Kathryn retired as the Director of Nursing from Hennis Care Centre in Bolivar.  Katie was a huge lover of animals, especially her small dogs.  She loved going to Florida for the winters. Katie was an avid fisher woman and could out fish the majority of men and women. She had a green thumb and could grow and can any produce that she got out of her garden.  Katie loved playing Bingo in her spare time, and was an outstanding nurse for many years. She loved spending time with family and friends. Katie was very loved and will be forever missed.  Preceded in death by her son, Dennis Ott.  Survived by her husband, Richard Ott; two daughters, Robin Ott and Laurie Ott; three sons, Richard (Betty) Ott, Jerry (Christi Allen) Ott, and Scott (Carrie) Ott; two sisters, Barbara Selby and Joyce Grametbauer; two brothers, Merle "Sonny" (Mary Jo) Slagle, and Tom (Debbie) Slagle; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.  The family will hold a Celebration of Life on Sat., Dec. 14, 2024, at 2pm, in the Carrollton Eagles, 1072 Brenner Rd NE, Carrollton, OH 44615.  The Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia is in charge of arrangements.  Condolences may be left at: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com.
