Kathryn E. Brown Age 57, of Louisville, passed away Tuesday evening, Nov. 8, 2011. After a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by her loving family, she fell into the loving arms of Jesus as her family worshiped in song. She was born in Canton, the daughter of G. Elizabeth (Jones) McCutchan of Louisville, and the late Ben McCutchan and was a life resident of this area. Kathy was a 1972 graduate of Sandy Valley High School and a 1976 graduate of Kent State University, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business and Marketing. She had worked at the J. A. Conley Co., where she was Director of Advertising. Kathy had served on the Board of Education for Tuscarawas Valley Local Schools. She was a member of The Chapel in Green, a member and past President of the Canton Business Women's Association, and was a former Sunday school teacher. Kathy loved flowers, gardening, scrapbooking, and enjoyed taking her crafts with her mother to craft shows. Surviving along with her mother is her husband, Steven E. Brown, with whom she celebrated their 29th wedding anniversary on Sept. 18th; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Kaylene and Tom Williams and Betsy and Brian Tong, all of Canton, and Tessa Brown, of Orrville; one son and daughter-in-law, Kyle and Laura Brown, of Fairlawn, OH; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Ben and Barbara McCutchan, of Statesville, NC, and David and Aletha McCutchan, of Magnolia; six granddaughters with a seventh granddaughter to be born on Kathy's birthday, March 3rd; also a special aunt, Anna Lee Edgell, of Buckhannon, WV. Services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at The Chapel in Green with Pastor Steve Bucy and Pastor Mike Castelli officiating. Interment in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Friends may call Sunday 2-5 p.m. at the Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home and Monday 10-11 a.m. at the church before the service.
