IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Kathleen
O'Hearn
April 26, 1931 – April 9, 2018
Kathleen A. O'Hearn
Age 86, of Louisville, passed away Monday April 9, 2018. Born April 26, 1931 in Canton, daughter of the late Roy and Margaret (Lang) Gill, was a life resident of this area and member of St. Michael The Archangel Catholic Church. Kathleen had assisted her husband Arthur in building their A-1 Realty brokerage business. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 57 years, Arthur J. O'Hearn, on Feb. 25, 2011, as well as a sister, Jean Phillips and brother, James Gill. She leaves four children and their families, including, Marybeth O'Hearn Rose, and her daughters, Caitlin (Christopher) Strandberg and Erin (John) Dacyczyn, (each granddaughter providing Kathleen her first great-grandchildren this fall); Colleen (Tom) Daddario, and their children, Christen and Michael; Timothy (Rosalyn) O'Hearn, and their children, Kelsey and Connor, and Jeffrey (Vicky) O'Hearn, and their children, Jonathan (Andrea) and Gregory; and her sister, Margaret Gill, sister-in-law Patricia Gill, and brother-in-law Sidney Foltz, as well as special friends Todd, Helen and CiCi. Mom's world revolved around her husband, children, grandchildren and ice cream. She enjoyed getting to know the friends of her children at frequent pool parties at their home in the summers. Mom was a health nut before it was in vogue. She composted her gardens, grew bean sprouts, sprinkled wheat germ, perfected her granola recipe -- in the 1970's. During that time, Tim encouraged her to join Bally's, the start of a 35 year membership and commitment to exercise! Mom was proud of her continued workouts with her Parkinson's group with whom she became friends. Her Sunday waffles and homemade pies were family traditions. Finally, she knew the truth of "laughter is the best medicine". There was always a wig, crazy hat, silly mask... at the ready. She kept us guessing and smiling! A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Sat. at 10 a.m. in St. Michael The Archangel Catholic Church with Fr. Don King as Celebrant. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum. Friends may call Friday 6-8 p.m. at the Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home. Contributions in Kathleen's memory may be sent to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, PO Box 5014 Hagerstown, MD 21741-5014. Condolences may be sent to gordonfuneralhomes.com
