Katherine L. Bordner

age 72, of Canton, passed away Thursday, Jan. 6, 2022.  She was born March 16, 1949 in New Philadelphia, OH, a daughter of the late Norman L. and Mary K. (Leggett) Vandevort, and had been a Canton resident 15 years, previously Zoar, OH.  Katherine was a former employee of both the U. S. Ceramic Tile Co. and the Sparta Ceramic. She had attended the Sandy Valley Church of God.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Bordner, a grandson, B. J. Hartong and two brothers, William and John Vandevort.  She is survived by her partner of over 20 years, Bob Andrews, three daughters and one son, Candy (Michael) Hartong, Tina Bordner, Chawntelle Andrews, and John Bordner, nine grandchildren, and three great-grand-daughters, three sisters, Nancy (Darius) Myers, Barb (Dean) Slutz, and Terry Davidson.

Services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in Sandy Valley Church of God with Rev. Shirley Kasler officiating.  Friends may call Wed. 6-8 p.m. at the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia.  Interment will be in Ridgecrest Memory Gardens in Dover.
