Junior Edward "Ed" Taylor
Age 87, of Canton, husband, father, grandfather, brother, entrepreneur, and pilot, took his final flight Wed. morning from Aultman Compassionate Care Center, from complications from a fall in November. He was born in Richwood, WV, a son of the late Eldridge and Ivy (Meadows) Taylor, and had been a Canton resident since 1950. Ed retired from The Timken Co., after 37year's service, where he was an electrician. He also was the co-founder, owner and President of CommVideo Systems Inc., which he started in 1966. Ed was a member of Canton Lodge #60, F. & A.M., and a past member of the Civil Air Patrol and the ECOPA. He loved to fly airplanes and ride motorcycles, owning several of each over the years. His passion for flying was passed on to his son, grandson, and granddaughter. Preceded in death by a sister, Hilda Wayne. Survived by his wife, Betty J. Taylor, with whom he would have celebrated their 62nd Wedding Anniversary on Nov. 18th; one daughter and son-in-law, Pat and George Seanor, of Canton; one son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Cathy Taylor, of Canton; a granddaughter, Jaclyn Taylor, of Canal Fulton, and a grandson, Christopher Taylor, of Canton; his beloved dogs, Paco, Toby, and Oscar; and a sister and brother-in-law, Wanda and Paul Givens, of Richwood, WV. Services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in the Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home with Fr. Don King officiating. Interment in Warstler Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday 2-4 p.m. Masonic Services will be held at 1:45 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. The family wishes to express their appreciation to Aultman Hospital, the Rehab Center at Mercy Hospital, and a special thanks to Dr. Steven Grossman, the staff, and the volunteers at the Aultman Compassionate Care Center, and also Dr. Edward T. Schirack.
