JULIA H. HAMMERLY,

Age 79, of Massillon, passed away Tues., Mar. 13, 2018 in her residence.  Born in Canton, a daughter of the late Edgar and Mary (Naylor) Baughman, she had been a life resident of this area.  Julia was a 1956 graduate of Timken High School.  Preceded in death by her husbands, Samuel Brozovic on Nov. 23, 1985, and Richard Hammerly, on Jan. 29, 2015.  Survived by two daughters and one son-in-law, Tamara Brozovic and Laura and Randy Rose; five grandchildren, Ryan (Natalie) Brozovic, Aaron Brozovic, Ian (Jamie) Mallette, Tiffany Smith, and Nicholas Rose; seven great grandchildren; and one sister and brother-in-law, Chris and Jim Bednar.  Julia and her grandson, Ian Mallette, had a special and unbreakable bond.  Ian cared for Julia in her home and continued to make and cherish memories, even through the tough fight of Dementia.  A memorial service will be held Sat. at 1 p.m. in the Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home.  There will be no calling hours.  Condolences may be left at: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com.
