Judith Ann Swinehart  1943-2015

Age 72, of Sunset Beach, NC formerly of Uhrichsville, OH passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2015, after a long illness. Judi was born June 21, 1943, to the late Annabelle (Lowe) and Raymond Swinehart.  Judi attended Kent State University. She was a school bus driver for Claymont City Schools for 25 years and she was deeply loved and respected by her students. Judi was the unofficial counselor for many of her bus students. Judi belonged to the Dennison Historic Society. Her affiliations in Sunset Beach included volunteering for Cat Tails Adoption Service and the Brunswick County Sheriff's Office, and she was a member of Outback Shooting Club and the Coast Guard Auxiliary. She was an active member of Shallotte Basket Weavers; her many beautiful baskets will be enjoyed by her family and friends for years.  Judi was a kind soul who gave the best hugs ever.  Preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Linda Swinehart and Rita Trilli and brother, Larry Swinehart.  Judi is survived by Dr. P.K. Shiltz of Sunset Beach, NC, and her brothers, Robert (Donna) Swinehart of Queens Creek, AZ and William Swinehart of Waynesburg, OH and many nieces and nephews and their children.  Judi will be greatly missed by her family and friends.  Private memorial services will be held at a later date Condolences may be sent to: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com
