Juanita Kean
Age 81, of Jackson Township, passed away Sat., March 2, 2013, in Mercy Medical Center. She was born in Salt Lake City, UT, a daughter of the late Olive and Josephine (Stenzel) Davis, and had been a Canton resident over 60 years. She was a 1947 graduate of East High School in Salt Lake City where she was a Utah State Doubles Tennis Champion. She was a retired supervisor from Ohio Bell after 30 years service. Juanita was a woman of many talents. She loved to do counted cross stitch and made many craft items that she gave to friends. She enjoyed playing bridge with her bridge buddies, bowling, golf, and maintaining her beautifully landscaped home. Juanita had a special place in her heart for nature and animals. She also was preceded in death by her grandfather, Otto Stenzel and a brother, Robert Davis. Survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Dolores and Dean Ovenden, of Salt Lake City, and two nephews, James and Steven; her special family, Aunt Mary, Peggy, and Micki DePalmo; friends Ardie Severson and Sue Danco; her special friend, Frances Sharp; and many others who cared and loved her. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday at 10 a.m. in Little Flower Catholic Church, 2040 Diamond St. NE, Canton, OH 44721, with Fr. John Zuzik as Celebrant. Interment in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may call Monday from 9:30-10 a.m. before the Mass.
