JOYCE L. HECKAMAN, Age 86, of Canton, passed away Thur. evening in Aultman Compassionate Care Center. Born in Louisville, a daughter of the late Howard and Verna Kettering Adams, she had been a life resident of the Canton area. Joyce was a lifelong member of First Church of the Resurrection and worked as a Teacher's Assistant at Gibbs Elementary School. Preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Heckaman, on July, 30, 1994; one daughter and son-in-law, Linda Gattuso-Childs and Robert Childs, of Clinton, TN; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Larry Heckaman, of Canton, and Leslie and Tracie Heckaman, of Uniontown; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Mabel Unkefer, of Canton, Beverly and David Jestel, of Massillon, and Jane and Pat Burnett, of Cleveland; and five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren, Matt and Susan Heckaman and their son, William Marvin, Jason Heckaman, Ryan and Amanda Heckaman and their children, Alexandria and Kaeleigh, Jennifer Heckaman and her children Alyssa and Haley, and Augustine and Margot Gattuso. Services will be conducted Wed. at 11 a.m. in the Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home with Pastor Bruce Mont officiating. Interment in Sunset Hills Burial Park.
