Joseph A. Zimmerman,

Age 54, of North Canton, passed away Monday July 24, 2023 at Aultman's Compassionate Care Center after courageously battling Colon Cancer for 3.5 years.   He was born May 22, 1969, a son of David and Mary Lou (Gang) Zimmerman.  Joseph was a 1987 graduate of Central Catholic High School. Joseph was 6 hours shy of his Bachelors in Business Management with Honors distinction. Joe had wanderlust and loved to drive the road less traveled. He loved cars, his 70's soft rock and was a foodie.  He will be dearly missed!

In addition to his parents, he is survived by four sisters, Ursula (Steve) Marrero, Ruth Harris, Monica (Paul) Miller, and Ann (Curtis) Bradford; three brothers, David (Ernest Chan) Zimmerman, Damian (Kathy) Zimmerman, and Timothy Zimmerman; and numerous nieces and nephews.  A Memorial Mass will be held Sat. Sept. 9th at 10:30 am in St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church.  Friends may call Friday from 6-8 pm in the Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in Joseph's name may be made to:   Compassionate Care Center, 2821 Woodlawn Ave NW, Canton, OH 44708, or the Stark County Humane Society, 5100 Peach St NE, Louisville, OH 44641.
