Joseph A. Severs

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Joe A. Severs, age 73, of East Sparta, Ohio, on September 25, 2025.

Joe's legacy will always be remembered as that of a hard worker, with the best comebacks, and as the person everyone could depend on. He could always be found with his loving wife, Carol (Nesselrode), whom he started dating when he was 14 years old, by his side. Joe was never without a project to work on or something to fix. To his sons Jason (Michelle) and Joey (Tricia), he was more than a father – he was a mentor, role model, and a constant supporter of his boys, their families, and his 6 grandchildren. His grandchildren, Addie (Kylie), Julius, Trent, Cadence, Liberty, and Camryn Severs, unequivocally loved Grandpa Joe, who was always their first call when they needed anything. He was also a positive and ornery influence on his 9 nieces and nephews.

Per Joe's wishes, no services will be held. Memorial contributions can be made to First Christian Church of Malvern's Building Project.
