Joseph E. Peters, Jr.,

Age 65, of Strasburg, passed away Thur., Sept. 11, 2025.  He was born July 19, 1960, in Canton, a son of the late Joseph and Virginia (Schick) Peters, Sr.  Joe was a 1979 graduate of Hoover High School and worked as a licensed plumber for Joliet Plumbing for 20 years.  He was a member of East Sparta Community Church and had coached gymnastics in Canton.  Preceded in death by his brother, Mike Peters.  Survived by his wife, Theresa Peters; two daughters, Sara (T.C.) Helman, and Nicole (mark) Hadden; four grandchildren, Chloe and Emma Helman, and Nora and Ezra Hadden; one sister, Marcia (Larry) Sweitzer; and one brother, Mark (Marsha) Peters.  A Memorial Service will be held Mon. at 1pm in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home.  Friends may call two hours before the service, from 11am to 1pm.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in Joe's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society of Crossroads Hospice.  Condolences may be left at: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com.
