Master Sgt. (Ret.) Joseph Burd,

age 70, formerly of Canton, OH, passed away on June 23, 2025 in Sun City, AZ.  He was born Aug. 29, 1954, in Latrobe, PA, a son of the late Roy and Janet (McCartney) Burd.  Joe served in the U.S. Marines for 21 years, having been stationed in the United States and several other countries.  Survived by his daughter, Avril Merrifield, and two granddaughters, Iliza and Coraline Merrifield; daughter Audrey Burd; brothers Roy (Betti) Burd and Tom (Amy) Burd; sister Vickie Dugan; many nieces and nephews; and companion Mary Westphal.  Joe loved the game of golf and was able to golf all over the world as well as in Ohio and Arizona for many years.  He will be truly missed by Mary, family and friends.
