Obituary

John P. Yukich Age 91 of Magnolia, passed away Saturday afternoon in Aultman Hospital. He was born in Alliance, a son of the late Frank and Mary (Rizzon) Yukich, and had been a Magnolia resident 58 years. John was a 1939 graduate of Alliance High School, and retired in March of 1985 from The Hoover Co., after many years service, where he was a lift truck operator. He was a member of St. James Catholic Church and Alliance American Legion Post #166. John served in the U. S. Navy during World War II aboard the USS Winooski, an A-38 Tanker. Preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters. Survived by his wife, Josephine A. "Jo" Yukich, with whom he celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary on Oct. 4, 2012; also many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. A Concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wed. at 10 a.m. in St. James Catholic Church with Fr. Joseph Zamary and Fr. Michael Seifert as Celebrants, assisted by Jo's nephew, Deacon Wilbur Bagley. Interment in Sandy Valley Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.
