John S. Vandevort

Age 74, of Bolivar, passed away Thur., Dec. 9, 2021.  Born July 13, 1947, in Dover, a son of the late Norman and Mary (Leggett) Vandevort.  John was a member of Beach City Church of God and had attended Sandy Valley Church of God.  Preceded in death by his first wife, Linda Lee (Bon) Vandevort, on May 5, 1995,  and his brother, Bill Vandevort.  Survived by his wife, Delana Vandevort, whom he married on Apr. 1, 1996; two daughters, Vicki (John) France III, and Mickey (Eric) Craig; two sons, Clay Vandevort, and David (Stephanie) Kyler; four sisters, Kathy Bordner, Barb (Dean) Slutz, Nancy (Darius) Myers, and Terry Davison; and eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Services will be conducted Sat., Dec.18, at 11 am in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia with Duane Wilbur officiating.  Interment in Ridgecrest Memory Gardens in New Philadelphia.  Friends may call two hours before the service, from 9-11 am in the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in John's memory may be made to the funeral home to help defray expenses; PO Box 426, Magnolia, OH  44643.  Condolences may be left at: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com.
