John W. Denison, Sr. Age 70, of Canton, passed away suddenly Thursday afternoon in his home. He was born in Canton, a son of the late Walter and Alice Wefler Denison, and step-father, the late Gartrel Hibbs and was a life resident. John was a 1957 graduate of McKinley High School and retired in 1996 from Anheiser-Busch Brewing Co. where he drove a delivery truck. He was a member of the McKinley Eagles, the former Canton Moose Lodge, and VFW Post #3747. Preceded in death by his wife, Alice M. Denison, on March 15, 1996. Survived by his three sons, John Denison, Jr., of Minerva, Jimmy and Jeff Denison, both of Canton; two step-sisters, and a brother-in-law, Kitty Hibbs, and Sue and Loren Van Horn, all of Canton; two grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Services will be conducted Monday at 11 a.m. in the Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Smith officiating. Interment in Forest Hill Cemetery.
