JOHN W. LEY,

Age 68, of Magnolia, passed away Thur., July 2, 2015.  Born in Canton, a son of the late William and Edna (Brown) Ley, he had been a resident of Magnolia since July of 1973.  John was a 1965 graduate of Canton South High School and retired from Local 540 IBEW in Massillon where he was an electrician.  He served with the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War and was a member of the VFW.  Preceded in death by his sister, Carol Jean Ley.  Survived by his wife, Jill Ley, with whom he celebrated their 46th Wedding Anniversary on June 7th; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jason and Nicole Ley and their children, Alex and Kaitlin, of Canton, and Joseph and Sarah Ley and their son, Brandon, of Reynoldsburg, OH; and three sisters and brothers-in-law, Lois and Ronnie Reed, of Canton, Judy and John Hexamer, of Canal Fulton, and Darlene and Ron Hampton, of East Sparta.  A Memorial Service will be held Sat. at 3 p.m. in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia with Rev. Clifford Hughes officiating. Friends may call Sat. from 1-3 p.m. in the funeral home.  Interment in Greenlawn Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in John's memory may be made to the donor's favorite charity.  Condolences may be left at: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com.
