JOHN "MIKE" FAHRNEY,

Age 63, of Waynesburg, passed away Sat., June 11, 2016 in his residence.  Born in Massillon, a son of the late Ralph and Mary (Kurtz) Fahrney.  Mike was a 1971 graduate of Northwest High School, where he lettered in several sports and was inducted into the Wrestling Hall of Fame.  He was a member of Trinity Gospel Temple and retired from C.R. Kurtz, Inc., where he was a sheet metal worker.  Preceded in death by his grandson, Collin Stone.  Survived by his wife, Elaine Fahrney, with whom he would have celebrated their 40th Wedding Anniversary on Aug. 26; two stepdaughters and their husbands, Christina and Scott Stone, and Connie and Bob Allen; three sisters, Linda Freeland, Cheryl Lee, and Flo Abbott; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Tim and Mary Jane Fahrney, Mark Fahrney, and Bill and Regan Fahrney; two grandchildren, Kayla Stone and Maria Allen; and numerous nieces and nephews.  Services will be held Wed. at 2 p.m. in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia.  Interment in Sandy Valley Cemetery.  Friends may call two hours before the service, from 12 noon to 2 p.m., in the funeral home.  Condolences may be left at: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com.
