JOANNE FIERSTOS EBIE,
Age 82, of Canton, passed away Thur. morning in Stone Crossing Care Center. Born in Canton, a daughter of the late Joseph and Florence Harper Fierstos, she had been a life resident of Canton. Joanne was a 1949 graduate of Lincoln High School, and was a member of Christ Presbyterian Church and the Lincoln High School Alumni Association. She was also a member and volunteer at the McKinley Museum where she took care of all the dolls, including repairing them for over 20 years. Preceded in death by her husband, David Ebie, on Oct. 30, 1990, her daughter, Lynn Miller, in 2001, and her sister, Joyce Berea. Survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Anne and William Sweetnam, of Washington, D.C.; three sons and two daughters-in-law, John Ebie, of Tampa, FL, Donald and Mary Jane Ebie, of North Canton, and William and Nancy Ebie, of Rootstown, OH; one brother, Bob Fierstos, of Lexington, KY; and 10 grandchildren. Services will be held Sat. at 2:30 p.m. in the Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home with Pastor David deVries officiating. Interment in North Lawn Cemetery.
