Joan M. McCoy

Age 83, of Magnolia, passed away Sat., Oct. 26, 2024.  She was born Jan. 13, 1941 in Sandyville, a daughter of the late John and Laura (McDougall) Lebold, and was a life resident of the area.  Joan was a 1959 graduate of Sandy Valley High School, and was Co-Valedictorian of her class.  She was a member of the former Sandyville United Methodist Church, and had been an employee at Campbell's Candy Store. Joan enjoyed sewing, crafts, and her cats. She had a passion for her flowers. Joan also enjoyed spending time with family at the cabin at Leesville Lake.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, James L. McCoy, Jr., on Oct. 4, 2022.  Joan is survived by her daughter and son, Lori (Craig) Lindamood, and James (Richard Guerrero) McCoy; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, Tonya (James) Fletcher, and their children, Caden and Peyson, Justin (Natalie) Lindamood, and their children, Garrett and Baylee, and Kurtis Lindamood; one brother, John (Betty) Lebold.

A Celebration of Life will be held Sat., Nov. 16, 2024, from Noon to 2 p.m. in the Sandyville Town Hall, 4246 NE Laffer Sq., Sandyville, OH 44671.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in Joan's memory may be made to: act.alz.org/donate.  Condolences may be sent to: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com
