Jessie L. Kaufholz
Age 92, of Canton, passed away Sunday morning in Emeritus of Canton. She was born in Canton, a daughter of the late Robert and Victoria (Hasler) Lane, and was a life resident. Jessie was a 1939 graduate of Lehman High School. She was a member of Calvary Presbyterian Church and Atwood Yacht Club. She enjoyed many summers at their cottage on Atwood Lake and playing the Par Three Golf Course. Preceded in death by her husband, John M. Kaufholz, on Dec. 9, 1994, two sons, John Kaufholz, Jr. in 1989, and Charles Kaufholz, in 1999, her twin brother, Robert E. Lane, Jr. and his wife, Dorothy, and her sister, Mary Margaret Fritchley and her husband, Kenneth. Survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas and Paula Kaufholz, and Philip and Beth Kaufholz, all of Canton; two daughters-in-law, Sarah Kaufholz, of Winston-Salem, NC, and Gayle Kaufholz, of Bay Village, OH; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, J. Marc Kaufholz and his sons, Johnny and Jack, Kaaren (Lee) Stuart and their sons, Maxwell, Alex and Kenneth, Julie (Anthony) Cosentino, Amy Kaufholz, Philip Kaufholz, Jr., Bethany Hafley, Erica (Zane) Shuman and their daughter, Ella, and Christian Hafley; and many loving nieces and nephews. A private graveside service will be held Sat. at 1:30 p.m. in West Lawn Cemetery with her nephew, Rev. David Kiewit officiating. There will be no calling hours.
