IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jess L.
Adams, Jr.
March 3, 1937 – October 28, 2024
Jess Lafayette Adams, Jr.
Age 87, of Canton, OH and Manteo, NC, passed away Monday, October 28, 2024. He was born March 3, 1937 in Canton, a son of the late Jess and Ida-Mae (Wright) Adams, Sr. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Adams, sister, "Sis" Eulah Jane, and a son, Todd A. Adams, whose wife Sara is still living.
Jess is survived by his wife of 66 years, Sandra J. (Hill) Adams; daughters Desiree (Barry) Kindy of North Canton, OH, Tiffany (Stephen) Wescott of Manteo, NC. Grandchildren Jaymi, Sloan, Chelsey, Bryce, McKenzie, Chaise and Rasheed along with 10 great grandchildren whom he would always say "I Luv, I Luv, I Luv" and sister Donna Hall and brother Arthur Adams.
Jess spent the first part of his early married life working at Burrough's Radio, a wholesale electronics company. Then transitioned later to Screpco Electronics. Those two life experiences set him on a course which would eventually lead him to owning his own wholesale electronic company called The Electronic Center Inc. He retired in 2016.
At 16 he met who would become the two greatest loves of his life. Sandra, his wife of 66 yrs., as mentioned above, said she would not marry him unless he accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior. Well, he said yes to Jesus and therefore, Sandra said yes to him. The two most important yeses of his life set his course to become a man of deep faith in God and became the core values he lived his life by. Together, for over 21 years, their love for the Lord Jesus Christ and love for the marriage union and family, they taught Marriage and Enrichment classes. Many of us, while reading or hearing this today can say that we witnessed and are the recipients of these family core values for many decades now. We are forever grateful and are confident that generations to come will continue to experience the reward from his commitment to the two most important loves of his life. Thank you, Dad, we love you.
