Jennifer L. Eames Age 36, of Columbus, passed away Monday afternoon. She was born in Marietta, resided in Mineral City most of her life, and Columbus 10 years. Jennifer was a 1992 graduate of Tusky Valley High School. She was employed as Animal Control Officer for Franklin County. Jennifer was responsible for rescuing many animals which was her passion. Preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Joe Eames, her maternal grandfather, Joseph Mathey, and many of her pets. Survived by her mother and fiance, Connie Seldenright and Tom Bowersox, of Mineral City; her father and step-mother, Mark and Barbara Eames, of Bolivar; her maternal grandmother, Sarah Mathey, her paternal grandmother, Laura Eames-Luyster, and her paternal great-grandmother, Winonna (Pearl) Gilbertson, all of Dover; her domestic partner, Stacey Griffiths, of Columbus; aunts and uncles, Joseph and Jennifer Mathey and Patricia E. Mathey, all of New Philadelphia, Keith and Char Eames, and Lori and David Schwartz, all of Dover, Bart Eames, of New Philadelphia; one cousin, Eleesa Eames, of New Philadelphia; and her beloved dog Leyna. Services will be conducted Sat. at 3 p.m. in St. Paul's Community Church in Mineral City with Rev. Mark Gross officiating. Friends may call one hour before the service on Sat. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jennifer's memory may be made to any Humane Society or Animal Shelter of the donor's choice.
