Jennie DelCorso,
Age 95, of Canton, passed away Mon. Mar. 23, 2015. Born in Magnolia, a daughter of the late Dominic and Maria (Logozzo) Aquino, she was a resident of Canton, since 1975, previously residing in Waynesburg. Jennie was a 1938 graduate of Waynesburg High School and was Salutatorian of the class. She served in the WAAC in WWII as a Cryptographic Technician for the Manhattan Energy Project in Manhattan, NY and retired in 1984 from General Electric Credit Corp. after 17 years service where she was a Secretary; previously she was secretary for the President of Diebold Inc. Jennie was a member of St. James Catholic Church, the Democratic National Committee, and the Women in Military Service for America Memorial in Washington, D.C. Preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Harry DelCorso, on Mar. 21, 2014, her brothers, Rocco, Francis, Vincent, Constantine, Domie, and Valentino Aquino, her sister, Josephine Fano. Survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Steve Bosler, of Carrollton, and Anne and Jim Kackley, of Canton; one son and daughter-in-law, Leonard and Debra DelCorso, of North Canton; three sisters, Lucy Geiger, of Waynesburg, Rina Sickle, of Canton, and Amelia Gordon, of Sarasota, FL; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Ned and Kate Aquino, of East Canton, Rinaldo and Rose Aquino, of Canton, and Edmond and Joan Aquino, of AZ; two sisters-in-law, Judy Aquino, of Minerva, and Betty Aquino, of Canton; eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thur. at 10 a.m. in St. James Catholic Church with Fr. Joseph Zamary as Celebrant. Interment in Sandy Valley Cemetery. Friends may call Wed. from 6-8 p.m. in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia.
