Jean Muir
Age 86, of Magnolia, passed away Friday morning in Hennis Care Centre in Bolivar. She was born in Apollo, PA, a daughter of the late Ira and Margaret Klingensmith Kerr, and was a Magnolia resident since 1971. Jean was a 1941 graduate of Apollo High School. She retired in 1980 from Sandy Valley Local Schools, after 19 years service, where she was school secretary at East Sparta Elementary School. Jean was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church. Preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Ray P. Muir, on May 2, 2004. Survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Becky and John Larson, and her son and daughter-in-law, Doug and Linda Muir, all of Magnolia; four grandchildren, Scott Muir, Brandon Muir and his fiancee', Amanda Koch, Katelyn and Allison Larson. Services will be conducted Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Centenary United Methodist Church with Rev. Stan Purdum officiating. Interment in Magnolia Cemetery. Friends may call Monday 6-8 p.m. at the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia. The family wishes to express their appreciation to the staff of Hennis Care Centre in Bolivar for the love and care they gave to Jean during her stay there.
