J.C. Burton,

Age 87, of Zoarville, passed away Sat., June 28, 2025.  He was born Sept. 29, 1937, in Dale, KY, a son of the late Henry and Clarris (Holbrooks) Burton.  J.C. served with the U.S. Navy and retired from Conn's Potato Chip Co. where he worked in Sales and Delivery.  Previously he worked at National Life Insurance and Kline's Potato Chips.  Preceded in death by his wife, Ellen Burton, and his brother, Walter Burton. Survived by one son, Rod (Lynn) Burton, one sister, Betty (Wes McLaughlin) Cox; and one brother, Jerry (Brenda) Burton.  Services will be held Thur. at 11am in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia.  Interment in New Cumberland Cemetery.  Friends may call one hour before the service, from 10-11am.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in J.C.'s memory may be made to: Ohio Hospice Truman House, 716 Commercial Ave SW, New Philadelphia, OH 44663.  Condolences may be left at: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com.
