Obituary

JANICE L. (DEARTH) BROUCKER,

Age 67,of Waynesburg, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Apr. 1, 2014.  Jan was born on Jan. 8, 1947 in Alliance, Ohio, a daughter of the late George and Agnes (Yanico) Dearth, and lived in the Sebring area until they moved to Waynesburg in 1963.  Janice was a member of the Fellowship of the Little Country Church and was part of the Wed. morning women's bible study at Canton First Friends Church for many years.  She retired from the Dearth Insurance Agency as an Insurance Agent.  Preceded in death by a brother, Richard "Denny" Dearth, her precious son, Nicklas Frank Broucker and her life-long friend, Genevieve Roth.  Survived by her husband, Frank L. Broucker, Jr., with whom she would have celebrated their 48th Wedding Anniversary on Aug. 20th; her beloved daughters and sons-in-law, Carrie and Pete Churilla, of Waynesburg, and Kimberly and Brian Sarbach, of Malvern; her cherished grandchildren, Chase and Kendall Sarbach, and Nicole Churilla, who have blessed her life beyond measure.  Every minute she spent with them was treasured.  Also survived by her loving sisters, Deborah Chance, of Canton, Kathleen Fernandez, of Jacksonville, FL, and Joy Dearth, of Magnolia; her stepmother, Judith Dearth, of Magnolia, her brothers and sisters-in-law, John and Antonietta Broucker, and Robert and Dorothy Reed, all of Waynesburg; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.  The time she spent with "her ladies" was very special to her and felt that they were each a gift from God as they came into her life: Delores Wiandt, Mary DelCorso, Antonietta Broucker, Linda Young, Sandy Schmucker, Corkey Reel and Sherry Metzger, and many others.  Jan was truly a Saint on earth and dedicated her life to helping others and serving her Lord.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.  Even in the hospital, while unaware, she was still touching lives with her undying Faith.  The family would like to thank the staff at Aultman MICU and Aultman Acute Care Specialty Hospital for their loving care and kindness to mom and the family.  A very special thank you to Pastor William Carter for all the countless hours over the years spent with Jan and the family during her extended illness.  Services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in Little Country Church with Rev. William Carter officiating.  Interment in Sandy Valley Cemetery.  Friends may call Thursday (Tonight) 6-8 p.m. at the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia and Friday 10-11 a.m. at the church before the service.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jan's memory may be made to Little Country Church, 7886 Ravenna Ave. SE, Waynesburg, OH 44688.  Condolences may be sent to: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com
