JANET F. HOUSTON, Age 76, of East Sparta, passed away Wed. morning in Aultman Hospital. Born a daughter of the late James and Sylvia Soloski Smoot, she had been a lifetime resident of the Mineral City and East Sparta area. Janet was a 1951 graduate of Mineral City High School and worked at U.S. Ceramic where she was a tile setter. She was a member of the Sandy Valley Eagles #3228 for over 30 years and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Eagles. Preceded in death by her husband, Mervyne Houston in 1994. Survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Mary Lou and Rod Rennie, of Mineral City; one son and daughter-in-law, James and Monica Wilson, of FL; four grandchildren, Crystal and Jeff Latimer, Holly and Dave McClain, James Wilson, and Samuel Wilson; and two great granddaughters, Megan and Sarah Latimer.
