James L. McCoy, Jr.

Age 84, of Magnolia, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2022.  He was born Oct. 25, 1937 in Canton, a son of the late James L. and Ethel (Pickering) McCoy, Sr., and had been a Magnolia resident since 1959.  Jim was a 1955 graduate of Lincoln High School, and retired from Republic Steel after 30 years' service as a Machinist First Class.  Jim was a member of Sandyville United Methodist Church and the American Modelers Association.

Jim is survived by his wife of 63 years, Joan McCoy, with whom he celebrated their 63rd Wedding Anniversary on June 5th., one daughter and one son, Lori (Craig) Lindamood and James (Richard Guerrero) McCoy; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, Tonya (James) Fletcher and their children, Caden and Peyson, Justin (Natalie) Lindamood, and their children, Garrett and Baylee, and Kurtis Lindamood; two sisters, Carolyn Dick and Linda (John) Ostapuck.

A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, Oct. 9, 2022, in the Sandyville Town Hall from 2-4 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jim's memory may be made to act.alz.org/donate.  Condolences may be sent to: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com
