Obituary

JAMES L. MAPLE,

Age 67, of Waynesburg, passed away Fri., Dec. 4, 2020.  Born Nov. 23, 1953, a son of the late Glen and Edna (Volkert) Maple.  He was a 1972 graduate of Sandy Valley High School, retired from ITS Construction and attended Little Country Church.  Preceded in death by his brother Keith Maple.  Survived by his wife and soulmate of 48 years, Karen Maple; one daughter and son-in-law, Melissa (Chris) Fittro; two grandsons, Christopher and Brandon Fittro; one granddaughter, Courtney Fittro; one great granddaughter, Paisley; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Barbara (Stan) Wheeler, and Ann (Tom) Tschantz; one brother, Steve Maple; and many nieces, nephews and friends.  Jim was best known as "The Legendary Jimmy Maple."  He was always ready to help anyone in need and never left anyone in need. Jim loved life and lived it to the fullest, doing it his way everyday with no regrets.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, time with family and playing in the yard with his dogs, whom he loved dearly.  Following a private viewing a public graveside service will be held Thur. at 11 a.m. in Sandy Valley Cemetery.  Face coverings and social distancing will be required.  The Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia is in charge arrangements.  Condolences may be left at: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com.
