James C. Kackley

age 68, of Canton, passed away unexpectedly Monday, Sept. 23, 2024.  He was born Jan. 22, 1956 in Canton, a son of the late Corwin and Berdine (Miller) Kackley, grew up in East Sparta, and resided in Canton since 1978.  Jim was a 1974 graduate of Sandy Valley High School.  He retired after 45 years in the Electrical Motor Field.  He enjoyed music and always had a song playing wherever he was.  He especially loved being with family and friends and cherished his time with his grandsons.  Jim and Anne enjoyed traveling to see their son and daughter-in-law and grandsons in Florida, where they resided several months each Winter, and daughter and son-in-law in Taiwan.

Jim is survived by his wife, Anne M. (DelCorso) Kackley with whom he celebrated their 45th Wedding Anniversary on Nov. 18th last year; a daughter and son, Leah and Kris Oprisch, and Benjamin and Cassie Kackley, and their sons, Carter and Caden; three sisters, Janet Newman, June and Harold Stansberry, and JoAnn Everhart.

A gathering for a Celebration of Life will be held Sunday from Noon to 3 p.m. at the Meyers Lake Village Hall, 1600 N.
