James B. "Jim" Hug, Sr.,

Age 71, of Massillon, passed away Tues., Sept. 10, 2024.  He was born Jan. 10, 1953, in Canton, a son of the late Ralph and Beatrice (Skinner) Hug, Sr..  Jim was a 1971 graduate of North Canton Hoover High School and retired from Sears, Roebuck & Co. where he worked as an auto mechanic.  After retirement he worked at Aero Tech Hobbies and enjoyed building and flying remote controlled airplanes.  Preceded in death by three brothers, Thomas Hug, Ronald Hug and Ralph Hug, Jr..  Survived by his wife, Wendy (Hartwell) Hug, with whom he celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary on July 27th; two sons, James (Adriana De Sousa) Hug, Jr., and Joseph (Richard Cosgrove II) Hug-Cosgrove; one sister, Sandi Self; and one grandson, Christian Hug.  Services will be held Fri. at 11 am in Christ Presbyterian Church.  The family will greet friends in the church hall following the service.  The Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jim's name may be made to: Christ Presbyterian Church, 530 Tuscarawas St W, Canton, OH 44702.  Condolences may be left at: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com.
