Jackie C. "Jack" Dotson, Sr.,

Age 91, of East Sparta, passed away Mon., Mar. 10, 2025.  He was born June 2, 1933, in Parkersburg, WV, a son of the late Floyd and Nellie (Hyson) Dotson.  Jack was a 1954 graduate of Parkersburg High School and retired in 1997 from the Hoover Co., where he was a grinder and inspector.  He was a member of Sanctuary Church of God in East Canton and enjoyed deer and turkey hunting and loved to fish.  Preceded in death by his wife, Louise Dotson, on Dec. 17, 2010; his son, Jack Dotson, Jr., and two brothers and one sister.  Survived by three daughters, Debbie Dotson, Charlotte Hartman, and Brenda (Jim) Hester; one son, David (Laura) Dotson; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Services will be held Sun. at 3pm in the Sanctuary Church of God in East Canton.  Interment in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens.  Friends may call Sun. from 1-3pm in the church.  The Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia is in charge of arrangements.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jack's memory may be made to: Sanctuary Church of God, 6535 Maplebrook St NE, East Canton, OH 44730.  Condolences may be left at: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com.
