Jack G. Williams
Age 71, of East Sparta, passed away suddenly Thursday morning. He was born in Canton, a son of the late Joyce (Phillippi) Williams, and Paul Williams, with whom he resided. He has resided in East Sparta the past eight years, previously living and working in Boston, California, and Las Vegas. Jack was a 1960 graduate of Sandy Valley High School and attended the Cleveland Art Institute. In Boston he was in the advertising business, and in California and Las Vegas he was a waiter. When he returned here he was a waiter at the Zoar Tavern and Benders Restaurant and Olive Garden in Canton. Jack served in the U. S. Army during the Viet Nam War, and was a member of Isaac L. Kinney American Legion Post #244 in East Sparta. Surviving besides his father is his daughter and son-in-law, Jana and Joe Delibert, and two grandchildren, Cole and Danielle, of Honeoye Falls, NY; two brothers and sisters-in-law, twin Jan and Helen Williams, of Virginia, and Jefford and Rose Williams, of Akron; two nieces, Stephaney and Michael Phomson, and Mara and Basheer Wheeler. Services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home in Magnolia with Pastor Peggy Garner officiating. Interment in East Sparta Cemetery with full Military Honors.
