Irma M. Powell Age 90, of East Sparta, passed away Tuesday afternoon in Hennis Care Centre in Bolivar. She was born in Glencoe, OH, a daughter of the late Fletcher and Mary (Bumgardner) Phillips, and had been a resident of East Sparta over 60 years. Irma was a member of East Sparta United Methodist Church. Preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Norman R. Powell, on April 8, 1997. Survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Lee and Lois Powell, of Strasburg, John and Juanita Powell, of East Sparta, and James and Carol Powell, of Tuscarawas, OH; six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Services will be held Sat. at 10 a.m. in East Sparta United Methodist Church with Pastor Peggy Garner officiating. Interment in Sunset Hills Burial Park.
