Iris E. Shew

Age 86, formerly of Magnolia, passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2017, in Grove City, OH.  She was born in Mineral City, a daughter of the late Clifford and Kathryn (Broad) Steinbaugh, and was a life resident of this area until moving to Grove City in 2013.  Iris was a 1948 graduate of Mineral City High School, and was retired from the U. S. Ceramic Tile Co. in both Canton and East Sparta.  She was a member of East Sparta United Methodist Church.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Leonard L. Shew, on Nov. 28, 1995.  Iris is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Sanford and Julia Shew, of Grove City, and a grandson, Nicholas Shew, a student at The Ohio State University; also her sister, LaDean Fetters, of East Sparta.  A Memorial Service will be held Sat. at 11 a.m. in East Sparta United Methodist Church with pastor Peggy Garner officiating.  Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery in Sandyville.  The family will receive friends in the church Fellowship Hall immediately following the service.  Condolences may sent to: www.gordonfuneralhomes.com
