Iris M. McFarland

Age 96, of Canton, passed away Sunday, Dec. 10, 2017.  She was born Oct. 14, 1921 in Millville, OH, a daughter of the late Lawrence and Kathryn (Grabans) Rutter, moved to Cambridge, also lived in Florida, and resided in Canton most of her life.  Iris was a former and long-time member of VFW Post #3747, and she enjoyed country music dancing at Mayfield Manor and several other places.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Kenneth Cropper and Ralph J. "Mac" McFarland, four sisters and two brothers.  Iris is survived by one daughter and three sons, Linda (William) Wright, Kenneth (Elfreida) Cropper, James (Randi) McFarland, and Robert (Anjie) McFarland; 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter.  Services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home with Rev.
