Irene Jones Muckley
Age 92, of Canal Fulton, passed away Tuesday evening. She was born in Magnolia, a daughter of the late Lewis and Myrtle (Young) Kemp, resided in Canal Fulton since 2002, previously residing in Canton a number of years. Irene was a 1938 graduate of Magnolia High School. She retired in 1981 from Plain Local Schools, after 12 years service, where she was secretary at Barr Elementary School. Previously she had been a cook at Sandy Valley High School. Irene was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Preceded in death by her husbands, Russell Jones on Feb. 2, 1966, and Dave Muckley, on Oct. 2, 1997, a grandson, Damon Jones, and eight brothers and sisters. Survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Steve and Susie Jones, of Canal Fulton, and Seth and Robyn Jones, of Dayton, OH; a step-daughter, Lorraine Muckley (Steve) Neuser, of Eagle River, AK; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, Shad (Jeanette) Jones and their daughter, Melissa, Trevor (Jennifer) Jones, Adam Jones, Joni (Chip) White and their children, Caroline, Olivia, and triplets, Ava, Elizabeth, and Catherine, Jill (Dave) Maculaitis and one soon to be born, Jenna (Rob) Steinberg, David (Ninfa) Neuser, and Michael Neuser. Services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Good Shepherd Lutheran Church with Pastor Diana Thompson officiating. Interment in Magnolia Cemetery. Friends may call Monday 6-8 p.m. at the Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home and Tuesday 10-11 a.m. at the church.
